Heart-Shaped Egg-in-the-Hole

Happy Monday and Happy President’s Day!! :)

Today I would like to introduce you to some people. Meet Goldie and Locks, Batman and Robin, Red, and my personal favorite: Beyonce :)

chicks

They’re the sweetest barn chickens, and lay amazing eggs.

I swear they’re like dogs- they sit on your lap and beg and follow you around until you give them something.

Their eggs make the easiest breakfast ever. Egg. Good bread. Salt. Shabam.

And I know that I should’ve posted these little gems on Valentine’s Day, but better late than never, right? ;) May I present:

Heart-Shaped Egg- in-the-Hole

Ingredients:

  • 1 egg
  • 1 slice of healthy bread
  • pinch of salt and pepper
  • hot sauce (optional)
  • spray or oil for pan

Directions:

  1. Cut out a heart shaped hole in the center.
  2. Oil pan and heat to medium high.
  3. Crack egg and place in the hole. Put a lid over the pan so that the top cooks.
  4. The top will be messy probably, don’t worry. The bottom side will be the heart side. Flip once.
