Homemade Cookie Dough Protein Bars

I don’t usually watch many TV shows.

Case in point: I used to think House was a real estate show. ;)

But I watched American Idol last night (had it recorded), and I’m  loving it! Even without Simon’s ice cold comments and Nicky Minaj’s arguing haha ;)


There were soooooo many good singers. Mind=blown.

Singing runs in the family. Buttttt…Apparently it skipped a generation with me haha. Only the shower is unfortunate enough to hear my amazing vocal skills ;)

So for now, I’ll be sticking to what I’m good at, like making stuff with chocolate in it:


Homemade Cookie Dough Protein Bars to be exact. Thank you, thank you very much ;)

They remind me of Quest Bars, aka the best things ever:



Anddd,  are much more wallet friendly!  :)


  • 1/4 cup  peanut butter
  • 1/3 cup oat flour
  • 1/4 cup shredded coconut (optional)
  • 2 spoonfuls of honey or agave
  • 3 spoonfuls of water
  • pinch of salt
  • 4 scoops of a really good tasting protein powder
  • chopped dark chocolate


Blend all of the ingredients except the chocolate. The mixture should be sticky- add a little more water or honey if it’s not. Stir in chocolate chips.


Press into a square, and cut into bars. (This recipe made 4 bars)


Here’s their macros, but it will be slightly different depending on what kind of protein you use.

  6. Cookie Dough and protein in the same sentence are a heaven send. I’ve just pinned this and totally plan on making them tomorrow. Never enough peanut butter in my life!

  7. I was just saying how I wish Quest bars were cheaper because they’re so dang expensive! I definitely need to try these out :) What brand of protein powder do you use? I have Sunwarrior but it’s not my favorite.

      I looovvve Tera’s Whey in vanilla flavor! But it’s so expensive. I also love SOurce Organic Whey (the one I did a review on). ANd Whey Natural USA. And Vega Protein :)
